Terrier reunited with its owner

Buddy, the Yorkshire terrier, has been reunited with his Sydenham owner after being taken in Colombo Street on Friday. Buddy was returned to Mrs Joyce Tyler on Saturday morning complete with the yellow bow in his hair and his brown knitted jersey. Buddy, aged four, was feared stolen when Mrs Tyler took him shopping. Buddy was tied by his leash to a bus stop near the Club Tavern while Mrs Tyler went into a shop. She returned to find him missing. Senior-Sergeant Mike Moore, of the Christchurch South police, said it was believed a small boy untied Buddy and took him for a walk.
