Stuttgart beaten NZPA-Reuter Dortmund, West Germany Borussia Dortmund upset the U.E.F.A. Cup finalist, Vfß Stuttgart 2-0 in a West German Cup semi-final yesterday marred by fouls and fighting that led to three players being sent off The violence followed a Stuttgart protest against a headed goal in the fifty-ninth minute by Dortmund’s Frank Mill after he had knocked a defender out of the way. Three minutes later Stuttgart’s Fritz Walter fouled the Dortmund goalkeeper Teddy de Beer. Thomas Kroth, of Dortmund, then knocked down Walter and he was in turn grounded by Maurizio Gaudino, of Stuttgart. The referee, Wilfried Heitmann, sent Kroth and Gaudino off and they were followed by Stuttgart’s Michael Schroeder in the sixty-sixth minute after an angry exchange with Heitmann. Meanwhile, in Prague, Czechoslovakia revived its hopes of qualifying for next year’s World Cup finals by crushing Luxemburg, 4-0.
