Donors splash out Fund-raising from World Vision’s 40-hour famine looks set to exceed last year’s total of $1.65 million. Famine participants have banked about $1.25M in World Vision’s famine account. The amount is up $200,000 on the same time last year. World Vision’s marketing director, Mr Bruce McConchie, said the “splash out” theme had captured the imagination of people. Many schools and groups had raised more than the previous year, he said.
