Talk to a lawyer

As was the case last year, there will be available each day of “Law Week” May 1 — 5 a free telephone legal information service.

The “Talk to a Lawyer” telephone service will be available from 10.30 a.m. each morning until 7 p.m. in the evening and the telephone number will be (03)653-950. (NOTE: In the case of Timaru area readers, the

phone service number is (056)80228 12 noon — 3 p.m. Monday I May to Friday 5 May inclusive).

The solicitor who answers your call will listen to what you say and will decide if it is a legal problem. If it is a legal problem, the solicitor will refer you for an appointment. The solicitor will also be able to suggest other sources of help, if that is appropriate.
