The police believe they have smashed a teen-age crime ring which has taken several thousand dollars of property from parked vehicles in the inner city. An expensive camera, sleeping bags, back packs, and other items were found at a house in Barbadoes Street on Wednesday evening. Four people, including a girl, aged 15, were arrested and appeared in the District Court and Children and Young Persons Court yesterday, facing charges of theft and receiving. Another person is being sought for questioning. Sergeant Roger Hutton said the property had been stolen in the last fortnight. Cars and tourist camper vans were the targets. The thieves had allegedly gained access to many of the vehicles by breaking windows. The thefts occurred day and night. Sergeant Hutton said the accused had been caught by chance when the police were called to a domestic incident at the house. The allegedly stolen property was found in a room and the house was searched. Some of the property has been claimed from the Central Police Station. The police are trying to find the owners of the renjaining items. ,
