A.I.D.S. discrimination
International accords to protect workers against discrimination and unfair dismissal should be extended to protect people infected with A.1.D.5., the International Labour Organisation said. Other existing guidelines on health and safety, and on alternative work for disabled people, could be adapted to cover workers who have contracted the H.I.V. virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome, the organisation said in a new study.—Geneva.
