One N.Z. boxer left
PA Hong Kong A Mornnsvllle truck driver, Andry Creery, is the one New Zealand boxer remaining in the Bangkok King’s Cup tournament after the first round. The Canterbury middleweight, Michael Bell, lost his fight against Pakistan’s Hussain Shah on points on Tuesday evening. The light middleweight Creery will fight Boonnikon Pooboapet in a second-round bout. He was pleased with his first-round victory over Australian Sean Nash. “Every fight’s a tough one here. I was confident I’d be stronger than him," he said.
