The Hideout

One day I was exploring the attic when I found a map. I looked at it for about ten minutes, then I raced out of the attic. I saw the map lead outside into the garden then I started to dig where the map said. Soon I came to a big box. I lifted it out then I opened it excitedly to find another map. I followed the map. I was walking along the paddock when I fell down a hole.
I landed with a thump. I looked around. It looked neat.
I decided it would be my hut. I started to climb out and ran back home. I got some food and some tools. Going back to the hut, I saw an old pipe like a chimnney; so I got it. Now my hut is finished. It has a fireplace and shelves with food. Mum and Dad were beginning to worry about the war.
“We will be killed,” said Dad. “I have a secret hut.” “Where?”
“In the paddock.” Mum got all the food. I got covers. Dad got tools and we lived there for the war.
