Junior Press
Hello again, Last week for the sea theme competition! Entries have been rolling in over the last few days, and it looks as though I’m going to have a hard job judging them! There’s been a lot of sea theme poetry in particular, from class groups and individuals. I’ve been really impressed with the quality of imaginative writing so far. It’s not too late to enter but you’ll need to send me your contributions by this Friday, April 14, at the latest.
You can write an original sea poem or story, make up a sea puzzle or quiz, or even put together some interesting, strange or weird sea facts, or jokes. Remember, there are book token prizes for the three best entries. Ist — $3O, 2nd — $2O and 3rd — $lO. So, it’s over to you!
Are marbles popular at our school just now? They seem to come and go from time to time. Check out the “Things to Do” spot this week for a couple of marble games that you can play inside or outside.
That’s it until next week. (Keep those cards and letters rolling in!)
