Talbot to head group
The former National Minister of Tourism, Mr Talbot, has been made the first president of the New Zealand Association of Former M.P.s. The group has almost 100 members. The former Labour Minister of Works and Development, Mr Colman, and the former National Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Highet, are the vice-presidents. Mr Talbot wants the group to become active in the international network of former legislators’ associations now established in about 20 countries. — PA
