Confirmation of sale
PA Auckland Pacer Kerridge Corp, Ltd, has confirmed it has sold its Camera House photographic and film processing chain to Brando Investments, Ltd, for about $5 million. Brando Investments is an Auckland-based company 60 per cent owned by a former general manager of Camera House, Tony Bell, and 40 per cent by Hanimex (N.Z.), Ltd, part of the Chase group.
Chase has indicated its intention to sell its 89 per cent of Hanimex Corp, Ltd, of Australia, owner of Hanimex N.Z.
The Camera House chain is New Zealand’s largest photographic distributor with 32 outlets and sales of between SISM and S2OM annually.
About half the chain’s outlets are franchised operations.
