Dead man’s brother on stab charge
PA Levin A Levin man, aged 23, appeared in the District Court at Levin yesterday charged with stabbing the man accused of murdering Peter John Corner in Levin on Easter Sunday. The dead man’s
brother, Dale Justin Corner, unemployed, was remanded on bail without plea until April 19. He was charged with wounding with intent to injure Peter James White on March 26.
White has been charged with the murder of Peter
John Corner who was killed by a shotgun blast outside a Levin pie cart on Easter Sunday. Also arising from the shooting, a solo father, aged 21, was yesterday charged with facilitating the escape of White.
Brendon James Charles
Hammond, of Levin, was charged with, on March 26, knowing that White had committed the crime of discharging a firearm, a double-barrel shotgun, in a manner likely to injure Peter John Corner, he assisted White avoid arrest by hiding the shot-
gun in Arapaepae Road and also by readying a 1978 Moto Guzzi motorcycle for his departure. Judge von Dadelszen remanded the defendant without plea until April 26 on bail with special residential and reporting requirements.
