COULTON FARMING GROUP is a large-scale, family owned and run, farming operation which is based in the northern boundaries of New South Wales. At present we are in control of some 27,500 acres of prime agricultural land, most of which has been developed for either intensive or extensive farming practices. Our management programme includes both irrigated and dryland crops, and extends to cotton, soyabeans, sorghum, wheat, barley and corn. The person we are looking for Is someone who wishes to get ahead in the agricultural sector, someone who has a realistic attitude to work, and the aptitude to work reliably alongside other members of staff, with or without supervision. We require a person, either married or single, who is no younger than 25 years old, and preferably between the age of 25 and 35. A strong farming background is considered essential. The job will be centred mainly around the North Star area, and will involve all aspects of our operations, from fencing, through to spraying of insecticides on the cotton crops. The position will become available from August, 1989, and where considered applicable, the company will pay a percentage of any relocation expenses incurred by the successful applicant. While this position is not primarily in the management side of the business, it may become a future possibility through the continued expansion of the company.
