Colonial Mtr dips
PA Wellington Colonial Motor Company, the listed Wellington-based vehicle dealer, had a 3.3 per cent drop in its net trading profit to $2 million in the six months to November 30.
The company will pay an interim dividend of 3.25 cps on May 5, ex-dividend on April 21.
Turnover fell 11.7% to SIBIM, and the pre-tax profit dropped 25.1% to $2,980,000. Tax took $930,000 less at $980,000.
There were no extraordinary items in the half year but an extraordinary gain in the previous period of $1,960,000 lifted the previous total profit to $4,030,000.
