Public Notices NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY PORT VICTORIA WARD, MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY Public Notice is hereby given that the Mount Herbert County Council, at its ordinary meeting held on March 28, 1989, resolved to fill by appointment an extraordinary vacancy to represent the Port Victoria Ward created by the resignation of Cr R. D. McBride. The Council also resolved to ask interested persons qualified to hold the office of elected member to submit their names to the Council for consideration for appointment. Such nominations should be addressed to the County Clerk and reach the office of the Council, corner of London and Canterbury Streets, Lyttelton, or P.O. Box 4, Lyttelton, no later than Friday, April 28, 1989. If not less than 24 electors of the Port Victoria Ward of the County of Mount Herbert, by notice in writing under their hands so demand, an election shall be held. The notice of demand for an election must be delivered at the office of the Mount Herbert County Council, corner of London and Canterbury Streets, Lyttelton, no later than 22 working days after the date of this notice. Each person who signs a demand that an election shall be held shall clearly state, against the signature, the person’s name' and address (with sufficient particularity to enable the person to be identified as an elector of the Port Victoria Ward of Mount Herbert County.
