General manager of Selwyn appointed
Mr Warren Brixton, county clerk of the Malvern County Council, has been appointed general manager of the Selwyn District Council. The announcement was made at a meeting of the Malvern Council yesterday. Mr Brixton was appointed from 23 appli-
cants from throughout New Zealand. Mr Brixton said it would be a demanding but exciting position. Mr Brixton was treasurer and deputy clerk of the Malvern County before transferring to Opotiki as county clerk. He returned to Malvern as county clerk about four years ago.
