Pithy pens provided
Colour-coded pens with pithy messages have been issued to staff at the Christchurch branch of the Bank of New Zealand. Staff at the Gloucester Street offices were told that there was only one pen for each of them, but refills were available. Managers were given white pens with red stripes, and the wording, “Achievement, not activity.” Retail staff were given white pens with blue stripes, and the message, "Our business is problem solving.” The other staff were given pens with green stripes, and the words, “I Really Oughta. Wanna,’’an exhortation for positive thinking.
