National Insurance, a subsidiary of National Pacific Corporation, has reported an after tax profit of $9.6 million for the six months ended December 31, 1989. The chairman, Mr Colin Maiden, said the result represented an increase of 8.3 per cent from the same period in the previous year. National’s net premium income for the period was up almost 10 per cent on the previous year, he said.
