Diocese appointments
The following Nelson diocese appointments have been announced by the Bishop of Nelson, The Rt Rev. Peter Sutton. Archdeacon Malcolm Welch succeeds Archdeacon John Ford who retired this week, as
Vicar-General. The Dean of Nelson, The Very Rev. Michael Hurd became deputy Vicar-General on March 1.
The vicar of Blenheim, Canon Ron Taylor, re-
cently became the Archdeacon of Marlborough after being authorised by the Bishop at a special service in Nativity Church, Blenheim. The vicar of Motueka, the Rev. Warren Hodge, has been appointed a cler-
ical canon of the Cathedral. The clerical canons and the Archdeacon of Marlborough will be admitted to their stalls in the Cathedral at the Synod Service in June.
