The inshore marine weather forecast from Lyttelton Harbour to the Waimakariri river mouth received from the weather office last evening: North-easterly winds 15 knots by day, also variable 10-knot winds. Sea slight, with a 1.5 m south to south-east, swell decreasing. Weather fine.
