Enviroment work recognised
The New Zealand Railways Corporation and New Zealand Forest Products at Kinleith have been awarded the N.Z. Institution of Professional Engineers’ environmental award. It is the first time the award has been shared.
The Railways Corporation received recognition for its conservation methods during the building of the Horopito Deviation on the North Island main trunk railway line.
New Zealand Forest Products was recognised for its work in minimising pollution at Kinleith.
