NZPA-Reuter Tokyo Share prices fluctuated in narrow trade in Tokyo yesterday, ending slightly lower on concern about the difficult situation facing the ruling LiberalDemocratic Party, which is suffering from a drop in public support.
The Nikkei index eased 2.43 points to close at 31,982.89, adding to Monday’s 146.67-point loss. Stock players are interested in seeing a strong market ahead of the March 31 year-end for brokers and many corporations, and therefore reaction to any negative news had been limited, brokers said.
