Resource reform calls free
A freephone being set up by the Ministry for the Environment at the end of this week will be genuinely free — this time. A number of people who used the freephone on resource management law reform in June last year were charged for their calls.
But the Secretary for the Environment, Dr Roger Blakeley, says he has been assured by Telecom this will not happen again.
The freephone will operate next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to encourage public comment on the Government’s proposals for changes to resource management laws.
