Blowfly spread feared PA Auckland One of Australia’s most harmful blowflies is spreading south through New Zealand. Tests on Australian green blowfly maggots sent to the Ministry of Agriculture show the pest has now damaged sheep in North Auckland, Waikato and Hawke’s Bay. The Ministry is looking for more maggot samples to determine how far down the country the fly will spread.
