PA Auckland Auckland needed just half an hour of the final dhy to wrap up its second XI representative cricket match against Wellington at University Park. Already the national champion, Auckland bowled Wellington out for 137 in its second innings to secure an .innings and 80 run victory. Dismissed for just 53 in its first innings, Wellington was 126 for 7 at the close on .Sunday, leaving the leg ■spinner, Peter Neutze (3-31), ' and the fast bowler, Sean 'Tracy (2-14), to wrap up the tail yesterday. • A collapse in Northern Districts’ second innings .paved the way for an easy < victory for Central Districts yesterday., Northern added only 33 .runs to its overnight score of. 142, losing its last three wickets before the morning tea .break. . Central took four hours to comfortably notch up the required 176 runs, for the loss of only three wickets. • Canterbury B scored a thrilling 12-run win over Otago B at Queen’s Park in Invercargill yesterday with only nine balls of the second XI cricket game remaining. Ben Harris, not out 54 overnight, continued through to a fine 105 yesterday morning, including 15 boundaries, to lay the foundation for a handy second innings total of 368 after earlier conceding a 147-run first innings advantage to Otago. The veteran all-rounder, Robbie Hill, provided the star turn with the ball in Canterbury’s second innings, taking five for 70 from 34 overs.

Needing 222 runs to win from 49 overs, Otago made a disastrous start, losing a wicket in the second over. But good batting from Michael Lamont, John Murtagh and Gary Dixon kept Otago hopes alive: Scores:— Canterbury B 105 and 368 (B. Harris 105, J. Preston 91, J. Boyle 38, B. Chamberlain 28, R.
