Firm prepares for Tipo
Torino Motors, the Auckland-based Fiat concessionaire, is preparing for the arrival of the Fiat Tipo next year. It has just established two new Fiat dealerships in the south Auckland area and a Palmerston North dealership has been refurbished. Similar steps have been taken in Rotorua, where a new showroom and workshop have been built closer to the town centre. The Tipo, for which there are long
waiting lists in Europe, was launched at the beginning of this year. It will be introduced to New Zealand with a choice of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre engines. Its body panels are of galvanised steel, and the car itself has an exceptionally large passenger compartment. It is expected to be very much in demand by those Fiat Uno owners wanting a larger car.
