Hostages freed
NZPA-Reuter Paris Two young French sisters, held hostage in Lebanon for 13 months by the radical Palestinian group of Abu Nidal, have been released in Libya, the official Libyan news agency JANA said yesterday. The announcement came after a statement in Paris by the French Foreign Minister, Mr Roland Dumas, that the long-term efforts by his Government to liberate Marie-Laure and Virginie Valente were on the verge of success.
