Council grants $281,196
The Christchurch City Council’s grants special committee has distributed $281,196 in grants to 210 sporting, cultural and community groups. This includes $33,500 to the Arts Centre for antiearthquake strengthening, $31,000 to the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra’s Users’ Fund, $12,000 to the Ferry mead Trust, $5750 to Summer Times and $7500 to the Christchurch Community Arts Council. The Christchurch Holiday Camps’ Trust received $5OOO, the Christchurch Household Budget and Advisory Service, $7OOO, the Youth Centre Trust, $5OOO, and the St John Ambulance Association, $3OOO.
