Leaving the Edgeware Road end of Colombo Street on Boxing Day, about 30 runners set off for the fifth annual Christchurch Marathon Clinic main street run. The runners ran down the length of Colombo Street then along Cashmere Road to Barrington Street and the clinic’s headquarters, a total distance of 86km. Bruce Foley, of Christchurch, was the first runner home in a time of 28min 40s.
