Marista fresh after spell

PA Dunedin The two-year-old Marista continued her good impression in training at Wingatui yesterday. The filly ran 800 m with Coronga Lass, 14m out on the course proper which had eased slightly after overnight rain.

Marista has freshened with a spell. She has fin-

ished third in each of her two starts.

Coronga Lass finished a good fourth in a maiden at Wingatui last Saturday. The pair are engaged on the second day of the Otago meeting on Monday.

Fiesta Point confirmed his fitness for the Dunedin Guineas when he finished

1000 m with Opel Lass and a length clear of Gay Heritage in 1:5.4, the opening 400 m in 24.5 and the last 800 m in 53. Fiesta Point had the worst of the weights with Tane Belsham up and the outside running. Fondessa and Wanna ran 800 m in 53.1, the last 600 m in 40.1.
