Father Christmas abandoned his reindeer and sleigh for a stint on the Tasman Glacier recently. He flew to the glacier in a Mount Cook Airline ski-plane and spent the day greeting tourists. With him are Mr Tamuru, of Japan, and Mrs Cherie a Marshall, a ski-plane pilot . It was the first visit by Father Christmas to the glacier.
