A.A. warns of road closings
The Automobile Association warns motorists that roads near Nelson and the Buller Gorge will be closed for periods today and tomorrow.
The association said that State highway 60, near Ruby Bay near Nelson, would be closed for 20-minute periods today between 8.30 a.m. and midday.
It will also be closed from 12.30 p.m. until 5 p.m. Urgent traffic is advised to take Marriages Road, Pamona Road and Moutere Highway. Tomorrow, State highway 6 will be closed at Newton Bridge in the Buller Gorge for 90 minutes from 9 a.m. Urgent traffic is advised to detour via Springs Junction.
