ARMSTRONG, William — On December 18. 1988, at Christchurch, loved brother of the late Ann and Margaret Armstrong; aged 96 years. The Funeral service will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, Linwood Avenue, Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 1.30 p.m. John Rhlnd, Ltd, F.D.A.N.Z. (Inc.).
BEDWELL, Ellen Yeariss, of 14 Anzac Street, Gore — On December 18,1988, at the residence of her son, dearly loved wife of the late Henry Walter Bedwell, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Harry and Lena (Gore), Mary and Hilton Dalgety (Ashburton), Rita and John Brough (Invercargill), and Daphne and Ray Dalgety (Christchurch), and a loved nana and great-nana of her 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; In her 87th year. A patient and courageous sufferer at rest. A service will be held in the Holy Trinity Church, Traford Street, Gore, Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 2 p.m., the Funeral leaving thereafter for the Gore Cemetery. Messages to Mr H. R. Bedwell, 33 Robertson Street, Gore. McKinlay, Murray and Laird, F.D.A.N.Z., Gore.
BIRSS, Gladys Ellen (late of Walkanae and Christchurch) — On December 16, 1988, at Levin, dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loved mother and mother-in-law of Ann and Terry Arthurs (Walkanae), Laurel and Michael Lyons (San Francisco), and loved grandma of Rachael, Sarah and Matthew, Carol, Teresa and Bradley.
