Red Hawk shows dash
Red Hawk, bothered with a stone bruise in the last few weeks, galloped in dashing style after the Riccarton trials yesterday. Red Hawk had Ron McCann up and ran 800 m on the course proper in 49.8 the closing 600 m in 36.8. His stablemate Tango Affair preceded him with Paul Falvey up and ran 1400 m in 1:30 the last 800 m in 50.3. Red Hawk could race next in the Timaru Cup. The course proper at .Riccarton is likely to be available for galloping on Tuesday and Thursday.
