She lives at the Ham Lodge for elderly, where she still cooks and sews. Mrs Sanders’ daughter, Mrs Susan Cameron, said her mother still had good eyesight and an alert mind, although her hearing was failing now. Mrs Sanders had seen many changes in the world, but was particularly saddened to see the increase in violence and uncaring attitudes, said Mrs Cameron. Mrs Sanders also has seven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Family members celebrated with her last evening.
