Fingers severed in press
A man had some fingers severed and his hand crushed in a printing press at Security Plastics in Treffers Road, Christchurch, yesterday. The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Burwood Hospital by the St John Ambulance. The accident happened about 8 a.m., said a spokesman for the St John Ambulance. The man’s condition was not available yesterday.
