Fiat director resigns
Vittorio Ghidella, managing director of Fiat Auto, has resigned and is expected to quit the Italian company before the year is out. The resignation came about because of a difference of opinion between Mr Ghidella and Cesare
Romiti, the Fiat group managing director, about Fiat’s future strategies.
Mr Romiti will add Mr Ghidella’s job to his others, and Mr Ghidella is expected to continue in the car industry as a freelance consultant.
