Plea for help in tracing cousin
NZPA London A London woman has appealed to New Zealanders for help in tracing a lost relative.
Mrs Joan Mason, aged 64, of Islington, London, lost touch, with her cousin, Olive Mary Willmot Watson, and her husband, Arthur, when they emigrated to New Zealand just after World War 11.
“I have been trying for years to trace her but have always drawn a blank,” she said. “We spent many happy years together as children and I would like to know what became of her.” The last known ad-
dress Mrs Mason had for her cousin was in Gowing Road, Meadowbank, Auckland. But when she telephoned the house the occupants had never heard of her cousin. Mrs Mason said that inquiries through New Zealand House in London and charity organisations had also been unsuccessful.
“When you are getting old you like to know where your relatives are,” Mrs Mason, a retired switchboard operator, said. “It would be so nice to hear from her even if we cannot meet.” Mrs Mason’s address is 10 Walney Walk, Marquess Estate, Islington, London Nl.
