On today’s page we look al aspects of the making of “The Three Musketeers” at the Court Theatre ir Christchurch. Publicity In order to attract an audience, ever production needs publicity. This usually in eludes press releases to the newspaper ant radio, publicity flyers (small giveaway card: or sheets with details of the production) and posters. Posters are intended to be displayed in prominent places, such as shops and libraries. They are usually put ( up some weeks before the opening night. Posters usually include the name of the play and the playwright, the company, times, theatre venue and prices. Look at the poster figure (left) and discuss. What image of the plaj does it present? Adaptation “The Three Musketeers” is a stage adaptation YWI of a story made famous by Alexander Dumas. Simon Phillips wrote the script and John Densem composed the music. The production is intended as family entertainment, but is not a pantomime. Can you suggest the difference between this play and a traditional OMEm pantomime?
