Molotov cocktail attack

The Christchurch police say there was no apparent motive for a Molotov cocktail incident at a South New Brighton property on Monday evening. The device was placed in the driveway of an Estuary Road house about 11.15 p.m.and left to burn. It was clear of anything which might have been damaged by the flames, and was extinguished by the occupants. The police are interested in hearing about a “Japanese-sounding” trail bike, seen to arrive at, then leave, the property.
