Tourist reps withdrawn
New Zealand tourism representatives in Perth, Adelaide and Osaka are being brought home. The Minister of Tourism, Mr Hunt, announced yesterday that the Tourist and Publicity Department expected to save more than $1 million in office and administration costs through a restructuring of its tourism marketing in Australia and Japan. Australia is New Zealand’s largest tourism market, the United States second and Japan third. —PA.
