Thai service to Chch

Thai Airways International has been given permission to extend its weekly flights to New Zealand with a service to Christchurch. The Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr Jeffries, said yesterday that the carrier ran a weekly direct flight from Bangkok to Auckland. From December 7 the service will also fly direct to Christchurch and return to Bangkok via Auckland. Mr Jeffries said that under the agreement New Zealand airlines would be able to fly an equal number of services to Thailand. — PA.
