The Govenor-General, Mr Paul Reeves, will present the Duke of Edinburgh gold awards on November 10 at the Christchurch City Council. A record number of awards are being presented to young people of Canterbury this year. Mrs Alison Ballantyne has replaced Mr Peter Guthrey as the area coordinator for the awards. She has been involved in the scheme for many years and is also associated with other youth organisations.
