Susan Dewy takes steps m our region today Ladies world squash champion, Susan Devoy, will continue her 2650 km marathon fundraising walk for muscular dystrophy in our region today. Susan is walking for 53 days to cover the length of New Zealand to raise funds and awareness for muscular dystrophy. She invites all people to join her on this fundraising festival. // O \’o I A ill JI /X? * Walking the length of RLLR\ < New Zealand to raise Jl funds and awareness ZRy-Jd for Muscular Dystrophy 'RJjj, l ' Muscular dystrophy is a genetic disease characterised by progressive deterioration and wasting of muscle fibre, causing difficulty in walking. Of the 46 types of musuclar dystrophy, some are invariably (fatal, usually when victims are in their mid-teens. Funds raised by Susan Devoys’ “Take Steps for a Future” will go towards a resource centre which will improve the quality of life of many children who suffer from muscular dystrophy. By walking the length of New Zealand, Susan wishes to highlight the e good fortune of fit and healthy New Zealanders.
