The men’s and women’s winners of the annual St Martins half marathon at Taitapu on Saturday. In hi? first attempt at the course, Ron McTaggart (New Brighton) held the lead after the first 2km. He beat a four-time winner, Kevin Barnes (Christchurch), who took second place. Anne Warren (Sumner) took the lead from the start of the womens race and finished nearly five minutes ahead of Colleen Martin (St Martins).
