Obstacles for women
PA London Women are increasingly choosing to go it alone in business to advance their careers — but they are still running into “genderrelated” problems, according to the latest British research. Top of the list was the patronising attitude of some bank managers towards would-be entrepreneurs. More than half of those surveyed thought women-only banks would be useful for female proprietors. Being a woman was seen to exacerbate problems springing from business ownership by those canvassed.
