Patient enjoying meals
Chinese food is a favourite with New Zealand’s latest heart transplant patient. A Green Lane Hospital spokesman said last evening the patient, a teenage girl, was continuing to make good progress. “She is in and out of bed, and having the occasional Chinese meal.” The teenager, the seventh person to receive a new heart in New Zealand, has elected not to reveal her identity. She had surgery late last Saturday.—PA.
