Chase bid

Chase Corporation (Australia) has added another sweetener to its bid for Wormaid International by offering brokers a one per cent commission for new acceptances of the offer. The bid, through Bainton Pty, a Chase subsidiary, was for 50 per cent of Wormaid. Chase’s managing director, Mr Bill Wavish, said the bid would not be extended when it expires next Thursday. The company added an AustlBoc cash alternative to the bid on Tuesday and declared it unconditional.
