PA Auckland The Ford Motor Company has raised . its new car prices between 1.6 per cent and 5 per cent, but none of its biggest competitors plans to follow suit. Ford’s rises, which took effect last Monday, are the result of the New Zealand dollar’s decline against the
Australian dollar and will see the Falcon and Fairmont rising $l5OO and $lBOO respectively to $33,205 and $37,205 — rises of 5 per cent. Mazda, smallest of the local assemblers, is the only company to follow Ford. Its 323 and 626 models are built at the same Wiri factory as the Fords
