Random checks to increase

PA Wellington Motorists could expect random stopping to check for drunken driving to be stepped up during the next two months, said the Minister of Transport, Mr Jeffries, yesterday. “Speed and alcohol are two major factors in New Zealand road fatalities and it is my aim to continue the impact the Ministry of Transport is having with Hawk speed radar and random stopping,” he said.
